BRIDES Launch Something Pink Campaign!

How wonderful?!! Brides has launched the Something Pink campaign. This campaign's strategy is to raise money for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation (a foundation that grants wishes to stage four breast cancer women). Brides asked twenty-one designers to design a pink themed gown and donate a portion of the proceeds to Making Memories. A three day sale in the big apple helped hundreds of shoppers find their dream gown.

I may be a little biased, but any campaign to raise money in honor of breast cancer victims or for breast cancer research has to be a fabulous one. The devastating effects of breast cancer hits so close to home for me. My mother became a victim in 1993. It was a blessing that she was a ten year survivor, but eventually demised due to the radiation treatments scaring her lung tissue. It's an amazing story to tell: watching years of fighting to live another day and eventually losing that fight to the very treatment that saved you. At any rate, diagnosis and treatment are making strides and it's because of the ever growing awareness.
